Overview #
The WooCommerce Shipping Descriptions plugin allows you to add textual descriptions for various shipping methods. The descriptions that are added using the plugin will be displayed on the cart and checkout pages.
Enabling Shipping Descriptions #
To enable and use the Shipping Descriptions plugin, you should first download and install Booster for WooCommerce.
1. Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > SHIPPING & ORDERS > Shipping Descriptions.
The Shipping Descriptions Module Options page will be displayed.
2. In the Shipping Descriptions section, check the box for Enable Module field.
3. Scroll down to the end of the page and click Save changes.
The WooCommerce Shipping Descriptions plugin will be enabled for your site.
Configuring Shipping Descriptions Settings #
You can add descriptions, for various shipping methods, that will be displayed on the cart and checkout pages using this page. You can use HTML tags to add descriptions. Example: <br /><small>Your shipping description.</small>
1. Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > SHIPPING & ORDERS > Shipping Descriptions.
The Shipping Descriptions Module Options page will be displayed.
2. Enter/select required values for the fields. Refer to the table below for field descriptions:
| Field | Description |
| Description Visibility | Pages on which the description will be displayed |
| Description Position | Place on the cart and/or checkout pages where the description will be displayed |
| Use Shipping Instances Enable | Specifies if shipping instances are used instead of shipping methods. Click Save changes if you enable this option. |
| Flat rate | Description will be displayed on the cart and/or checkout pages for flat rate products |
| Free shipping | Description that will be displayed on the cart and/or checkout pages for free shipping |
| Local pickup | Description that will be displayed on the cart and/or checkout pages for local pickup |
3. Click Save changes.
The shipping descriptions will be set for the shipping methods.
